Saudi Crown Prince and Pakistani Prime Minister sign an agreement to establish Supreme Coordination Council
Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan arrived in Saudi Arabia on Friday at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to begin a 3-day official visit. Both Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed two agreements of understanding and enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields on Friday.
Both the countries also signed an agreement to set up Supreme Coordination Council to strengthen the bilateral cooperation in multiple fields and exchanged views on issues of concern to the two countries on the regional and international levels, in a way that contributes to supporting and strengthening security and stability.
- Prime Minister Imran Khan praised the leadership role of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz in promoting Islamic unity, and the positive role of the Kingdom in resolving the issues facing the Islamic nation and its endeavors for regional and international peace and security. - The two countries discussed ways to strengthen and enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries by exploring areas of investment and opportunities available in light of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, and the priorities of development in Pakistan, and confirmed their satisfaction with the strength of bilateral military and security relations, and agreed on further cooperation to achieve common goals between the two countries.

- During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security situation including recent developments in Afghan Peace Process, bilateral defense, security, collaboration for regional peace and connectivity were discussed.
