Johnson & Johnson, Moderna Corona Vaccines approved for Visitors arriving Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia clarified that Corona virus vaccines produced by American companies Johnson & Johnson and Moderna have now been approved by the concerned authorities for incoming visitors.
Saudi National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (Weqaya) said that all travelers who have passed 14 days after receiving their doses of vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia need not to quarantine themselves upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
- All visitors must obtain and show a proof of vaccination with one of the flowing vaccines :
• 2 doses of Pfizer BioNTech
• 2 doses of Oxford AstraZeneca
• 2 doses of Moderna
• 1 dose of Johnson Johnson
- Vaccine certificates are required to be certified by official health authorities from the country that provided the vaccination for incoming passengers, and the duration between receiving the last dose should not be less than 14 days before traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. - However, all those who are above 8 years of age need to submit a PCR test negative certificate with not more than 72 hours before their scheduled departure to Saudi Arabia from 20th May.
- Saudi Arabia has administered more than 12 million doses of Corona virus vaccines through 587 vaccine centers in all regions of the Kingdom so far.
- Institutional quarantine is must for all expats upon entering into Saudi Arabia, for those all who are not vaccinated or immune as per the Ministry of Interior.
- Saudi Arabia's Food and Drug Authority approved Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines for emergency use in the Kingdom. Recommend : 3 years ban for those who left Saudi Arabia on Exit Re-Entry and not returned
