Islamic Affairs : Install an External Speaker to transmit Preacher's voice during Friday and Eid Prayers
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in Saudi Arabia directed the branches of the ministry and employees of the mosques to support Friday prayers in the regions of the Kingdom by using an external speaker on the mosque wall towards the worshipers in the rows extending outside the mosque support to make them hear the voice of the sermon and prayer.
The circular of Islamic affairs comes a week after the Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Abdul Latif Al Al-Sheikh issued a decision mentioning that mosque employees restrict the use of external loudspeakers to Adhaan and Iqamat, and the level of loudness in the devices does not exceed a third of the level of the loudspeaker device, and taking action against those whoever violates. - The Ministry of Islamic Affairs stated that the circular is based on Sharia evidence, including the saying of the Prophet, "For all of you seek refuge in His Lord, and He will not harm one another, and do not raise some of you over others in the recitation" or he said: (In prayer) Ahmad narrated it with a saheeh chain of transmission and in accordance with the jurisprudential rule (no harm or harm).
- The Ministry added that, because the imam’s voice communicating in prayer is specific to those inside the mosque, and there is no legitimate need to communicate it to those in the home, in addition to the fact that reading the Quran in external amplifiers is disrespectful to the Holy Quran when it is read and not heard.
- A fatwa was issued not to use external amplifiers other than the call to prayer (Adhaan) and the iqamah, the scholar Sheikh Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Uthaimin and the sign is Dr. Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, a member of the Senior Scholars Council, a member of the permanent Fatwa Committee, and other scholars.
