The Federal Center for Nutrition reports that watermelon has significant heart health benefits, as it is rich in potassium, which contributes to regulating water content in cells and stimulates the heart muscle.
The German Center added that watermelon contains important amino acids for a healthy blood flow, such as citrulline and arginine.
