Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development clarifies the period of Annual leave and its Conditions
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia renewed the reminder of the period of annual leave, due to workers and employees in companies.
The ministry added that, every year the worker is entitled for an annual leave of not less than 21 days, and to those workers who spent 5 continuous years in the service of the employer to a period of not less than 30 days, and the leave is with a salary paid in advance.
- This came in response to a question received by the Ministry through its official "Customer Care" Twitter account, in which one of the beneficiaries asked, I work as an employee for an institution and I spent 11 months there, Am I entitled to a leave of 21 days, or must I complete 12 months working in the institution? - The Ministry explained that the worker should enjoy his leave in the year of its entitlement, and it is not permissible to reject it, or to receive a money allowance in instead of getting it during his service.
- The worker has the right to receive his salary for the days of leave due, if he leaves work before using it, for the period for which he did not get his leave, he is entitled to the vacation fee for the parts of the year as much as he spent at work, according to the Labor website.
