Validity of Iqamas, Exit Re-Entry and Visit visas to be Extended for Expats from Countries with suspended travel


In implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Jawazat has begun to extend the validity of residence permits (iqamas) for expatriates who are outside the Kingdom, and to extend the validity of visit visas, exit and re-entry visas, automatically without fees or financial consideration until 2nd June 2021.



This extension, issued by the Minister of Finance, comes within the framework of the continuous efforts taken by the Kingdom's government to deal with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (Covid-19), and within the precautionary and preventive measures that ensure the safety of citizens and residents and contribute to reducing the economic and financial impacts. - The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) confirmed that the extension will be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center without the need to review at the headquarters of the Passports Department, as follows :

1. Extending the validity of residencies (iqamas) and exit and re-entry visas for resident expats outside the Kingdom in the countries from which entry is suspended due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus in them, until 2nd June 2021. 2. Extending the validity of visitor visas for visitors outside the Kingdom from the countries from which entry is suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Coronavirus, to be until 2nd June 2021.
