Ministry of Health : First dose of Corona vaccine reduces severe disease and deaths by 80%
The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Health in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah bin Mufreh Asiri, said that the first dose of the Corona vaccine reduces severe disease and deaths by more than 80% in most people.
He confirmed that that the protection provided by the first dose lasts for several months. The Ministry of Health stated that the prevention of severe and critical complications of corona is by taking the vaccine.

- Today, The health ministry reports 1,239 Corona infections, 932 recoveries and 15 deaths, with this the total number of corona cases in the Kingdom raises to 469,414 of which 451,187 recovered while 7,621 people loses their lives due to the complications of the virus.
- In the last 24 hours, Saudi Arabia has done 90,874 Covid-19 tests, and the total number of tests done in the Kingdom since the start of the pandemic reaches to 20 Million (20,617,677).
- Active cases of Covid-19 in the Kingdom further raised to 10,606 of which 1,549 are critical and are in intensive cares.
