Saudi Arabia extends Validity of Iqamas, Re-Entry visas, Visit visas until 31st July for Expats in Stranded countries
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has started extending the validity of residencies (iqamas) for expatriates outside the Kingdom, and extending the validity of visit visas, exit and return visas, automatically without any fee or financial compensation until the date of 31st July 2021.
This free extension, issued by the Minister of Finance, comes within the framework of the continuous efforts taken by the Saudi Arabia's government to deal with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (Covid-19), and within the precautionary and preventive measures that guarantee the safety of citizens and residents and contribute to reducing the economic and financial effects.
- The Jawazat confirmed that the extension will be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center (NIC) without the need to visit the headquarters of the Jawazat Departments, as follows:
1. Extending the validity of residency (iqamas) and exit and re-entry visas for residents outside the Kingdom in the countries from which entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus, to be until the date of 31st July 2021. 2. Extending the validity of visit visas for visitors outside the Kingdom from countries whose entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus, to be until the 31st July 2021.
