Ministry of Hajj - Two conditions that decide the Priority of sending Messages to applicants
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia said that text messages will successively reach applicants to perform Hajj this year 2021, according to two conditions.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah clarified that the messages will reach the applicants, according to the age group, in descending order, and according to the available seats in the coming days.
- Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdel Fattah Mashat, said that those accepted for Hajj have only 3 hours to pay the fees and complete the procedures, otherwise the opportunity goes to another pilgrim. - He explained in statements to the "Al-Ekhbariya" that the messages sent to those who registered to perform the rituals of Hajj are for nomination and are not considered final acceptance until the required requirements are met.
- Mashat indicated that 558,000 people have registered on the ministry's portal to perform Hajj for this year 2021, and they will be sorted according to health and regulatory requirements, and then it will be sorted according to age groups.
- He explained that the 50-year-olds have started receiving text messages since yesterday evening, noting that it is not a final acceptance, but depends on the availability of the required requirements and the fulfillment of specific standards, as well as the availability of places available for them. - He said that after that, the second step will be taken regarding the rest of the age groups, if there are vacant places, and it will be according to the age groups by waiver, and the messages will reach them in the same way as before, then the names will be announced on the ministry's website and through social media.
- Regarding the procedure for selecting substitutes, Mashat said that, when the candidate completes all the steps of the application, he reaches the stage of being given a number for payment, and he must pay within 3 hours, and if the three hours pass without completing the registration procedures, his initial reservation will be canceled and his chance will go to someone else.
- He added that when a permit is issued not to complete all the procedures, the candidate will be asked, especially the candidate who did not receive two doses of the corona vaccination, a message will be sent to him to review one of the vaccination health centers in his area of residence to take the second dose through the Hajj permit.
- The Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah pointed out that whoever wishes to cancel the registration for Hajj for any reason, there is a cancellation policy that has been clarified on the website of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, before completing his requests and reading them carefully so as not to be subject to any future fines.
