10,000 Riyals Fine for entering Holy sites without Permit during Hajj 2021 - Ministry of Interior
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced a fine of 10,000 riyals for anyone who try to reach the Grand Mosque, the central area, its courtyards and the holy sites of Mina, Muzdalifah and Arafat without a permit, starting from Tomorrow, 5th July, until the end of 23rd July, the penalty is double when the violation is repeated.
The Ministry of Interior said that, heightened security measures and strict coronavirus related restrictions will be applied to prevent entry to holy sites without a permit from 5th July (25th Dhu Al-Qidah 1442) to 23rd July 2021 (13th Dhu Al Hijjah 1442. - The ministry called on all Saudi citizens and resident expats to stick by the instructions for the Hajj season this year.
- The ministry highlighted that security men will carry out their duties in all roads and corridors leading to the Grand Mosque and the holy sites to prevent and control violations and apply penalties against all violators. - This year Saudi Arabia has restricted Hajj pilgrimage to the people inside the Kingdom with a permission to 60,000 to perform Hajj rituals, due to the Coronavirus pandemic and to ensure the safety and health of the pilgrims.
