- Last month, National Scientific Committee for Infectious Diseases gave its approval for using different Corona vaccines for first dose and second dose.
- "The approval came after international scientific studies that showed the possibility of giving 2 doses of two different vaccines safely and effectively in fighting the virus, with the effectiveness of which the 2nd dose aims to achieve," the ministry said.
- Yesterday, World Health Organization had warned of the danger of combining vaccines against Corona produced by different companies, and the chief scientist of the World Health Organization, Somya Swaminathan, said during an online briefing: “It is a very dangerous trend, We lack data and evidence, when it comes to the issue of combination vaccines.”
- “It would be chaotic in countries if citizens started deciding when to take a second, third and fourth dose and who to receive it,” said Swaminathan during an online briefing.
- Earlier this, The Ministry of Health confirmed that taking the 2nd dose of the Corona vaccine gives greater and better immunity to the body, and that the 2nd dose is taken after 42 days, and the first dose does not lose its effect, if the period increases.
