Saudi Arabia arrested more than 19,000 illegals for Residency, Border and Labor violations in one Week
Within one week, more than 19,000 illegals arrested in Saudi Arabia for violating the rules of residency, work and border security, as per the official report.
Campaigns held in all regions of Saudi Arabia from 1st to 7th July and arrested about 19,023 illegals expats, of which 7,811 violated residency regulations, 991 violated labor regulations and 10,221 for border violations.
- The report also revealed that 325 people were arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom, in which 49% are Yemeni nationals, 46% are Ethiopians and 5% were of other nationalities. Trending : 4 conditions for expats to travel outside the Kingdom - Jawazat
- As well as, 63 people were arrested for trying to cross into neighboring countries, and 2 were arrested for involvement in transporting and sheltering illegals.
- The total number of violators who were subjected to procedures was 59,316, of which 51,396 are men and 7,920 are women. Read : Saudi Arabia has administered more than 20 million doses of Corona vaccine
- Saudi authorities referred 41,253 violators to their respective diplomatic missions to get travel documents, while 2,711 violators were transferred to complete their travel reservations and 22,560 were deported.
- According to the Ministry of Interior, those who facilitates the entry of violators to Kingdom, transports them or provides shelter or any other form of support will face a fine of 1 million riyals and jail term for up to 15 years, including the seizure of means of transport or residence employed in the violation and defamation.
- The ministry called on people to report any violation on the toll free number 911 in Makkah and Riyadh regions, 999 and 996 for all other regions of the Kingdom. Join Saudi Expatriates Telegram channel
