Corona transmission among Unvaccinated increases which mutate into other Variants - Ministry of Health
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullah Asiri, explained that Corona virus infections are spreading rapidly in the unvaccinated people in the Kingdom.
He said, Its due to the lack of immunity, highlighting that the natural immunity after infection is not sufficient in the presence of corona virus variants.
- The Undersecretary of Minister of Health through his Twitter account said that, part of those infected with corona virus in the Kingdom are not vaccinated, they will need medical care and hypnosis. - He explained that the Corona infection is transmitted from them to others who were unable to benefit from the vaccine due to their medical conditions, the continued transmission of virus between them increases the possibility of it mutating into new variants that may be dangerous than the previous ones and so lengthen the pandemic.
- Today, the health ministry of Saudi Arabia confirmed 954 corona cases, 1,014 recoveries and 14 deaths in the last 24 hours, increasing the total infections in the Kingdom to 531,935 of which 513,387 recovered with 8,311 deaths.
- Active corona cases in the Kingdom drops to 10,237 of which 1,404 are critical and receiving treatment in intensive cares. In the last 24 hours, the health ministry had done 110,996 corona tests, so far 25.66 million (25,660,083) covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic. - Saudi government has provided more than 29.24 million (29,248,610) doses of the Corona vaccine to its citizens, resident expats and visitors all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers. In which first doses are 19.68 million, second doses are 9.56 million and the elderly people received 1.5 million doses of the vaccine.
