Decision to limit Work to Saudis in closed Commercial complexes comes into Force - Ministry of Human Resources
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia announced the start of implementing the decision to localize 'restricting work in closed commercial complexes to Saudis' as of 4th August 2021, and the end of the specified grace period. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
The ministry confirmed that this decision applies to all professions in closed commercial complexes (malls) and closed commercial complex management offices, with the exception of a limited number of activities and professions in these complexes, local production. - The Ministry of Human Resources, in cooperation with the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), offers several training and support programs for the professions targeted by the decision.
- The targeted jobs to Saudi nationals include branch manager, department supervisor, assistant branch manager, sales specialist, department manager, customer service, accounting fund supervisor, and marketing specialist.
- However, some professions are excluded from this decision, barber, fun game maintenance technician, loading and unloading worker, and cleaner.

- The violations include hiring expatriates for the professions restricted to Saudis, as well as failure to comply with the localization percentage.
