Ministry reveals the expected date of Vaccinating 70% of Kingdom's population
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia revealed the possibility of vaccinating 70% of the population of the Kingdom by October, 2021. The Ministry said it is providing more than 246,700 doses of vaccine per day at a rate of 93.7 doses per 100 people.
The Ministry said that at this rate, 70% of the Kingdom population could be vaccinated within 65 days, by 22nd October.
- Health Ministry reminded that it is possible to take two doses of two different vaccines of Corona virus, this came in response after a citizen inquired, asking, "Whoever take first dose of Pfizer can take second dose of AstraZeneca?". - Ministry's 937 Health Twitter account said, "In general, two doses of different vaccines can be taken, as per the international scientific studies, which showed the possibility of giving 2 doses of two different vaccines safely and effectively, with an aim of effectiveness achieved".
- Today, Saudi Arabia recorded 546 Corona infections, 794 recoveries and 8 deaths, raising the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 540,244 of which 525,559 recovered with 8,439 deaths.
- Active cases of Covid-19 in Saudi Arabia further falls to 6,246 of which 1,273 are critical and are in intensive cares. In the last 24 hours, Kingdom has done 72,968 corona tests, so far 26,638,652 tests. - The health ministry of Saudi Arabia has vaccinated more than 32,754,733 doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, Of which first doses are 21,053,712 and second doses are 11,701,021, elderly people received about 1,554,266 doses.
