Saudi Arabia confirmed presence of Delta variant and Single dose of Vaccine is not enough to prevent it
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali, said that the delta variant is present in the Kingdom and is widespread, highlighting that a single dose is not enough to prevent it. Like Saudi Expatriates on Facebook
During a press conference held Today in the Kingdom, the health spokesman explained that recovery from Corona virus (covid-19), in addition to receiving one dose of the vaccine, is not enough to confront the delta variant.

- Al-Aali pointed out that the vaccination centers in the Kingdom are witnessing a great turnout from the beneficiaries, explaining the need to continue to stick to the precautionary measures.
- Today (22nd August), Saudi Arabia reported just 384 new corona infections, 737 recoveries and 12 deaths in the last 24 hours, total cases in the Kingdom reached to 541,994 of which 528,636 recovered with 8,481 deaths due to the complications of Covid-19.
- Active cases of Covid-19 in Saudi Arabia falls below 5,000 and reached to 4,877 of which 1,156 are critical and are in intensive cares of medical facilities and hospitals of the Kingdom. Recommend : Non-vaccinated students to be considered as Absent - Ministry of Education
- Saudi Arabia has provided more than 34 million (34,013,967) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers. Of the total 21.41 million (21,411,794) doses are first doses while 12.6 million (12,602,173) people received two doses and the elderly people received 1.56 million (1,567,243) doses of Corona vaccine.
