Saudi Arabia sends 8 medical Oxygen plants to Pakistan
About 8 medical oxygen generation plants reached Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport through a chartered flight from Saudi Arabia said the federal health officials. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
These oxygen generation plants to install at secondary care health facilities in remote areas of Northern Pakistan. Each of oxygen plant is able to support 50 oxygenated beds at a health facility, added an official of the National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination (NHSR & C). - All of these plants to be used to treat Corona patients at small and medium health facilities in Pakistan. Saudi Arabia had assured that it will donate 18 medical oxygen generation plants to the country, of which 8 arrived and remaining will reach the country within few days, said the officials.
- The health ministry official in Pakistan added that in addition to 54 medical oxygen plants to be received in donations from Saudi Arabia and Global Fund, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is also securing such plants from its own resources, stating those plants would be given to the federally-administered areas as well as provinces to equip their hospitals.
- These oxygen generation plants can also be used to fill the oxygen cylinders so the other medical facilities of government and private in the vicinity of these plants would also be benefitted with their installation, confirmed the official.
