Three benefits of the 2nd dose of Corona Vaccine, 2nd dose is mandatory for Recovered patients
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia confirmed that the 2nd dose of the Corona vaccine is important for the

* To combat with the virus, calling on everyone to receive the two doses of the vaccine
* To improve the protection against severe infection with the corona variants.
The Ministry confirmed that the second dose of the Corona vaccine is mandatory for the recovered patient, this came in response after one of the beneficiaries inquired, asking: “Is it mandatory to take the second dose or not?”
- The Health Ministry's 937 account responded it stating, "According to the current recommendations, 2nd dose for the recovered patient is mandatory, as receiving 2 doses of Vaccine increases protection against severe infection with virus variants". - The Health center further added that, first doses of the vaccine can get after at least 10 days of Corona infection and the second dose can be received after at least 3 weeks after taking first dose.
- In case of infected after receiving the first dose of the vaccine, second dose can be received at least 10 days after the recovery period.
- In the last 24 hours and on 27th August, Saudi Arabia recorded just 244 new corona infections, 407 new recoveries and 8 deaths, bringing the total infections in the Kingdom to 543,562 of which 531,324 recovered with 8,520 deaths. - Active cases of Covid-19 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia drops to 3,718 of which 1,020 are critical and are in intensive cares. Jeddah tops with 208 active cases, Yanbu with 182 and Ar Ar with 146 active infections.
- Saudi Arabia has provided more than 35.63 million (35,631,263) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, Of this, first doses are 21,817,785 and 13,813,478 people received two doses and 1,582,286 doses received by elder people.
