UAE to provide 3rd Dose to people who Vaccinated against Corona Virus
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management announced that it will start providing a booster dose of Corona vaccines, to all individuals vaccinated with 2 doses against the virus in the country. Join Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
The authority said that booster dose can be given to individuals vaccinated with both doses 6 months after receiving the second dose.
- The National authority explained that those booster dose can be given 3 months after the date of the second dose for those individuals who are at risk. Trending : UAE allows fully vaccinated residents from banned countries to return
- As of now, United Arab Emirates (UAE) adopts 5 types of vaccines against the Corona virus (Covid-19) and they are Pfizer BioNTech, Sinopharm, Oxford AstraZeneca, Moderna and Sputnik V, and last June it began providing booster doses to those who received the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.
- Earlier this, the Ministry of Health in UAE announced the availability of Sinopharm vaccine for the age group of 3 to 17 years, after the results of clinical studies.
- The ministry said that the supply of the vaccine for this age group was based on the results of clinical studies, the strict evaluation followed for the emergency use permit, and the local evaluation that complies with the approved regulations.
