Unvaccinated students to be considered as Absent in Saudi Arabia - Minister of Education
The Minister of Education in Saudi Arabia, Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sheikh, welcomed the return of teachers in schools and students who are above 12 years and received 2 doses of the vaccine against Corona virus.
The Minister said those who did not completed 2 doses of vaccine against Covid-19 will be considered as absent until they are fully vaccinated with two doses.
- During a meeting with education directors of the various regions of the Kingdom, Al-Sheikh said managing the educational process in light of the pandemic is not easy, but in education we are used to turning challenges into opportunities for change and development. - He added that it is everyone's responsibility to continue educational journey for students with all the precautionary and preventive measures inside the school. All the responsibility on following up the implementation of approved operational models and precautionary measures will be on the shoulders of education directors of the region.
- All the male and female students who are above 12 years must receive two doses of the Corona vaccine in order to attend educational facilities and to be marked as present in attendance.
- He called on all Students who completed 12 years by Gregorian calendar, parents and teachers to receive two doses of Corona vaccine. Recommend : Proportion of 12 to 18 years who received Corona vaccine exceeds 80%
- The minister ordered all the education directors of the regions to conduct field inspections by visiting schools during this week in order to find its readiness in terms of the maintenance, availability of sterilization tools and the application of precautionary measures.
