GACA orders Airlines to verify Immune status of Expatriates before boarding flight to Saudi Arabia


The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) in Saudi Arabia has issued a circular to all airlines operating in the Kingdom’s airports, including private airlines, regarding procedures for verifying the immune status of resident expatriates before boarding the departing flight to the Kingdom.







The circular specified the adoption of one of the two methods to verify the eligibility of the resident expat traveler, which is either by showing the status of immunization in the “Tawakkalna” application, or by submitting a report proving immunization in the Kingdom through the “Qudoom” online platform. Recommend : Fully vaccinated tourists and non-restricted countries can enter into Saudi Arabia

- The GACA highlighted the need to have total compliance with the new issued circular, explaining that legal measures will be taken against violators and that they will bear the resulting responsibilities caused by the violation.

- Earlier this, GACA has issued instructions to al airlines operating in Saudi airports to update the entry procedures for expatriates and visitors coming from non-restricted countries, and reducing the period of institutional quarantine to 5 days.
