Saudi Health Ministry reveals the mechanism of switching between Corona vaccines approved in Kingdom
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia revealed the mechanism for switching between Corona vaccines approved in the Kingdom between Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the mechanism of switching between vaccines developed with different technologies is not new in the science of developing vaccines, as it has been used since 1990.
- The Health Ministry explained that, switching is safe and effective, it leads to a greater immune response, and contributes in protecting against complications from the virus (Covid-19). Trending : Saudi Arabia launches Free Local Roaming service in the Kingdom
- The ministry also confirmed that it is allowed to switch between the 12 to 18 year old group between the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, while for adults, it will be allowed to switch between AstraZeneca and Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna, and Pfizer and Moderna.
- Today (On 1st September), Saudi Arabia records just 185 new corona infections, 301 recoveries and 7 deaths in the last 24 hours, bringing the total corona infections in the Kingdom to 544,634 of which 533,151 recovered with 8,552 deaths.
- Active Corona cases in the Kingdom falls below 3,000 mark and reached to 2,931 of which 867 are critical and receiving treatment in intensive cares of medical facilities and hospitals. Recommend : Bahrain updated its Red List countries, India, Pakistan moved out of Red-List
- In the last 24 hours, Saudi Arabia's health ministry has done 59,531 Corona tests, so far 27.50 million (27,505,312) corona tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
- Saudi Arabia has provided more than 37.30 million doses (37,304,004) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom to its citizens, residents and visitors through 587 vaccination centers.
