Saudi Arabia to provide 3rd dose of Corona Vaccine to targeted groups in the Kingdom
Saudi Arabia to provide third dose of Corona vaccine to the most needed groups in the Kingdom, who have immune disorders or who have undergone transplant surgeries announced the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Health.
During the press conference, he said that there are scientific studies that have proven the importance of completing immunization from Corona virus with 2 doses of Corona vaccine. Two doses of vaccine is to protect against the complications from Covid-19 and to reduce the Corona in long term.
- Dr. Al-Aali revealed that giving vaccine to below 12 years is still under studies. He added that 10% to 30% of those recovering from Corona in the world suffer from long-term complications of Covid-19. - He stated that the epidemiological indicators continue to decline in Kingdom and it is important to maintain and stick to the preventive measures and vaccination.
- Today and on 5th September, Saudi Arabia reports 120 new corona infections, 219 recoveries and 7 deaths, raising the total infections in the Kingdom to 545,243 of which 534,062 recovered with 8,579 deaths.
- Active cases of Covid-19 all over the Kingdom drops to 2,602 of which 723 people are critical and receiving treatment in ICU units of the hospitals and medical facilities. Recommend : Saudi Arabia ranks 2nd in World in Digital competitiveness among G20 countries
- In the last 24 hours, Health Ministry has performed 47,732 Corona tests and so far 27,716,282 Covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
- The government of Saudi Arabia has provided nearly 38 million doses of Corona vaccine to Saudi nationals, resident expatriates and visitors all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, of which more than 15.5 million people received 2 doses, while more than 22.4 million people received 1 dose and the elderly people received 1.6 million doses of Corona vaccine.
