Saudi Arabia sets 5 year Travel ban and a maximum of 100,000 riyals fine for violating Travel Law
Saudi Arabia has increased the penalties of those who violate its Travel Document Law, As per the new amendment of Travel Document Law, fine for neglecting travel documents has been raised from 5000 Saudi Riyals to 100,000 Saudi riyals. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Twitter
The ban period for such violators has also been increased to 5 years from 3 years. The new penalties will include to those all who commit violations like adding, deleting or modifying information in passports or to the documents granting unrestricted or movement to its holder.

- The fines will also applied on the violators who commit negligence that lead to loss of a passport or laissez-passer ticket, including those who joins hands with others who deliberately contributed to use of passport illegally or involve in sale of either passport or laissez-passer ticket.
- The same penalty will also be applied on those who tries to use a passport belonging to others, including those who leave Saudi Arabia or entering the Kingdom without a travel document or through ports other than the specified ones.
- There will be exemptions for those who have acceptable excuses, the penalties will be imposed against those violate any of the provisions of the Travel Document Law and its executive regulations. Recommend : Ministry of Health ranks first in Institutional Excellence and spending Efficiency
- As per the new amendment of Travel Law, Minister of Interior will set the countries to which travel is not allowed and the departments under Jawazat would take appropriate action against the violators.
