Applying Home quarantine to groups excluded from Institutional Quarantine who are not vaccinated with approved vaccines - Ministry of Interior
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia stated that, in light of the great efforts made by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to limit the spread of the Corona virus, and based on what was submitted by the competent health authorities in the Kingdom, it was decided to apply home quarantine upon arrival of any of the excluded groups from Institutional quarantine for those who have not completed receiving doses of any of the approved vaccines in the Kingdom, according to the following,
1. A PCR test shall be conducted within 48 hours after coming to the Kingdom from one of the approved centers by the Ministry of Health, stating that he is not infected with the Corona virus (Covid 19), and the quarantine period ends with the issuance of a negative PCR test result.
2. A person below the age of 8 years is excluded from the PCR test requirement, and the period of home quarantine for him ends with the period of 48 hours from his arrival in the Kingdom. Trending : Jawazat warns Expats against self-employment and revealed its penalties
3. The penalties prescribed for violating quarantine instructions shall be applied when violating any of the provisions in above Paragraphs (1) and (2).
- The Ministry highlighted the need for everyone to stick to precautionary and preventive measures, and not to be moderate in applying health requirements.
- The ministry explained that all precautionary and preventive measures for travel are subject to continuous evaluation by the Public Health Authority (Waqeya), according to the developments in the epidemiological situation, and the relevant authorities are responsible for announcing the controls regulating it.
