Clarification on Canceling Work Permit and modifying documented Employee Contract in Qiwa
Clarification from Human Resources Ministry regarding the date of Cancelling Work Permit :
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia clarified the scheduled date for canceling the work permit in case of final exit. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Whatsapp group
The ministry revealed that the work permit cannot be canceled for the purpose of final exit, However, the cancellation is automatically done after 14 days from the date of issuance if payment is not made.
- This came in response to a question received by the ministry on its official Twitter account, "Customer Care", in which one of the beneficiaries asked about the position of a worker's license for which payment was not accepted. Is it possible for Employer to modify Employee's contract after document it ?
- The “Qiwa” platform, the new interface for the labor sector, affiliated to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, announced the possibility for the employer to modify the documented contract after the employee’s approval.
- Qiwa platform further clarified that the employer can modify the documented contract and send it to the employee for approval or rejection. If the employee agrees, the new contract is approved, and if the employee refuses to modify the contract, the old contract remains as it is.
