Including Iqama renewal for quarterly, Ministry of Interior launches 12 new services in Absher and 4 in Maidan platform
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia launched a number of new services in the Absher Individual (Afrad) and Maidan (Field) platforms. The Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif sponsored the 7th Absher Forum for electronic transactions, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Riyadh. During the forum, the Minister of Interior inaugurated a number of new e-services on the "Absher Individuals (Afrad)" platform, and also launched the 2nd version of the "Absher Dhakhiliah (Internal)" for the employees of Ministry, one of the outputs of the Absher Oasis, to spread the culture of creativity and innovation and to foresee the future using modern technologies.
- The new services launched includes Absher reports, renewal of iqama or identity, issuance of a lost electronic replacement, consent of an expat to transfer his services to the new employer, passport services for custodial families and issuance and renewal of iqama on a quarterly basis. - The new launched services includes digital driving license service, electronic warranty of traffic, vehicle repair permit, unified registration in driving schools, registration of a firearm license, including updating the upgraded version of passport issuance and renewal service for below 15 years.
- While the new services of Maidan platform includes number of e-services dedicated security staff, recording traffic accidents from the field, verifying owner of camels by reading slides, verifying Hajj, Umrah and prayer permits in the Two Holy Mosques and security staff verifying health status of the people.
- Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud highlighted that in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the ministry continues all its tasks within the framework of achieving the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, including achieving digital transformation in all its procedures and services, and empowering all its partners from ministries, government agencies and the sector Private and individuals can access data and services in a secure digital manner.
