Saudi Arabia announces the Extension of Iqamas, Exit Re-Entry and Visit visas for Free until 31st January 2022 for Expats in suspended countries
In implementation of the orders of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Kingdom began extending the validity of iqama and exit re-entry visas without fees or financial compensation until 31st January 2022 (28/06/1443). This extension, issued by the Minister of Finance, comes within the line of the continuous efforts taken by the Kingdom's government to deal with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (Covid-19), and within the precautionary and preventive measures that guarantee the safety of citizens and resident expats and contribute to reducing the economic and financial effects. - The extension will also be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center (NIC) without the need to review the headquarters of the Passport Departments (Jawazat) or the Kingdom’s missions abroad, as follows:
1. Extending the validity of iqamas and exit and re-entry visas for resident expatriates who are outside the Kingdom in the countries from which entry is suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus in them, to be until the date of 31st January 2021 (28/06/1443), except for those who have completed receiving two doses of the Corona vaccine inside the Kingdom before they leave.
2. Extension of the validity of visit visas by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for visitors who are outside the Kingdom, from countries from which entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus, to be until the date of 31st January 2021 (28/06/1443).
