Health Ministry specifies the reasons for increase in Corona infections in some Countries
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia mentioned the reasons for the high rate of infection with the Corona virus (Covid-19) in some countries.
The ministry said that the number of infections climbed again in a number of countries due to the closure of coverage with the 2 doses of the vaccine, to levels below the required percentage in most European countries, and the urgency in lifting all precautionary measures.
- The ministry added that a large proportion of the elderly who have been vaccinated with two doses of the vaccine are more than 6 months old, and they need the booster dose, but they did not get it. - In the last 24 hours, Saudi Arabia reported 45 new corona infections, 60 recoveries and 1 death. After this, the total number of corona cases in the Kingdom reached to 549,148 of which 538,160 recovered with 8,810 deaths.
- Active cases of Corona infections in Saudi Arabia further drops to 2,178 of which 53 are critical, increase of 7 critical cases since yesterday. Jeddah tops as usual with 283 active corona infections, Riyadh with 144, while Madina has 92 active corona cases.

- The Kingdom government has provided over 46.6 million (46,622,794) doses of vaccine against corona all over the Kingdom to Saudi nationals, residents and visitors for free through its 587 vaccination centers.
