- The Ministry of Health stated that, Omicron variant is different from the rest of corona variants, as it is transmitting faster between people and leads to severe symptoms of infection in those who have not received corona vaccination. The ministry pointed out that the vaccine is effective in preventing severe symptoms when infected.

- Today (On 30th December), The Ministry announced 752 new corona infections, 226 recoveries and 1 death in the last 24 hours, which raised the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 555,417 of them 541,614 recovered with 8,875 deaths. - Active corona infection in the Kingdom further jumps to 4,928 of them 49 are critical, increasing 6 cases to critical care since Yesterday. Riyadh tops in the list of active cases with 1,031, Makkah with 820, Jeddah with 808, Madina with 203, while Hufouf has 116 active corona infections.

- So far the Kingdom has administered over 50.4 minion (50,479,784) doses of corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, of them 1,734,548 doses were received by the elderly people and 2,330,999 doses are booster doses. Download Saudi Expatriates on Google Play App

- The Ministry also reveals, over 23.1 million (23,148,500) are the second doses received by the people, while 25 million (25,000,285) people received only one dose of the vaccine against corona virus.
