Corona committee discusses developments on Omicron variant of Covid-19 and demands to complete Vaccination doses
The concerned committee in taking all necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the Corona virus, headed by the Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajel, highlighted the need to strengthen all efforts from all sides to deal with the developments in the epidemiological situation, and to supervise the commitment of everyone to implement the approved preventive measures, and to complete receiving vaccine doses for members of society. During the meeting, developments and assessment of the current situation regarding the new mutated strain of the Corona virus 'Omicron', investigation work and genetic sequencing procedures were reviewed.
- The committee also pointed out the need for all members of the society to complete receiving vaccine doses and to follow all precautionary measures, preventive measures and approved protocols, as well as the importance of the sticking of those coming from outside the Kingdom to the instructions related to quarantine and conducting tests for the virus on time, in order to preserve their safety and the safety of all. - Today, The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia registered 38 new corona infections, 24 recoveries and 1 death, raising the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 549,848 of them 538,990 recovered while 8,840 people left this world due to the complications with the virus.
- Active corona cases in the Kingdom slightly raised to 2,018 of them 41 people are critical and are receiving treatment in intensive cares. Jeddah tops in the list with 228 active cases, Riyadh with 113, Madina with 109, Makkah with 105, Yanbu with 69, Tabuk with 59 active cases.
- Saudi Arabia has provided more than 47.53 million (47,536,454) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers. - The Ministry of Health's data shows, over 22.52 million (22,526,908) people received 2 doses of the vaccine against corona virus, while 24,643,207 people received only one dose of the corona vaccine.
