Ministry of Health specifies the type of vaccine using as Booster dose in Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced a slight increase in the number of corona critical cases in hospitals to 31 cases from 30 cases Yesterday, an increase of only one case. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Telegram
The Ministry of Health confirmed that the number of doses of Corona vaccines given in the Kingdom has so far reached 48,286,669 doses, through more than 587 centers in all regions and governorates of the Kingdom. Of them 550,548 are booster doses and the elderly people received 1.72 million (1,728,438) doses.
- The Ministry's official data shows, more than 24,844,011 people received only one dose of corona vaccine and 22,892,110 people received two doses of the vaccine against corona virus. Similar : A simple procedure that reduces the risk of corona by 70%
- Today, Saudi Arabia recorded 80 new corona infections, 92 new recoveries and 2 deaths due to complications with the virus. As of now the Kingdom recorded 550,622 corona infections of them 539,885 recovered while 8,860 people left this world.
- Active corona cases slightly falls to 1,877 of them 30 are critical. Jeddah tops in the list of active covid-19 cases with 188, Riyadh with 121, Makkah with 99, while Madina has 97 active corona infections.

- The Ministry of Health published a video of its official spokesman, Dr. Muhammad al-Abd al-Aali, in which he said that one dose is not enough, and that adding another dose increases immunity, but the booster dose is currently important to protect against complications and variants of the Corona virus, and to improve the level of immunization that a person has reached.
- The Ministry of Health stated that the Pfizer vaccine is currently used for the booster dose, regardless of the type of the first or second dose, for everyone who has been 6 months after receiving the second dose and is 18 years of age and above.
- This came in response from the Ministry's "Health 937" Twitter account, to an inquiry from a citizen in this regard, “The vaccine currently available for the booster dose is the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine, regardless of the type of vaccines in the first and second dose, and it is recommended for those who have spent 6 months after receiving the second dose, and adults 18 years and over deserve it.” Read : Costs of newborn covered in Mother's document up to this period of time
