Jawazat response to "Does the Automatic visa extensions require departmental review"?
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia confirmed that work is in progress to extend visas automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center (NIC). Trending : Saudi Arabia extends iqamas, re-entry, visit visa until 31st January 2022 for expats in suspended countries
This came in response to a tweeter's inquiry, whose iqama has expired while he is outside the Kingdom. He wants to return to Saudi Arabia despite the expiry of the visa period, So what should he do? Read : Jawazat invites 3 categories to register their vaccine status before arriving to Kingdom
- Saudi Jawazat responded in a tweet via “Twitter”, stating, “The extension is being done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center, and it does not require reviewing from the passport departments.”
- Most of the expats who are outside the Kingdom and in suspended 17 countries, got their iqama, exit re-entry and visit visa extensions until 31st January 2022, as per the Kingdom government order.
