Ministry of Health message to Citizens & Residents after the 1st case of Omicron in the Kingdom
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Al-Abdali, said that the health condition in Tawakkalna is important for everyone. He sent message to citizens and resident expats after the first case of Omicron recorded in the Kingdom.
During the press conference held Today, He said that there are permanent steps to follow up during the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom. we must protect ourselves from mutated variants by completing vaccination with 2 doses or a booster dose, wearing a mask in closed places, washing hands or sterilizing them regularly and travelers should follow the requirements of travel.
- Al-Abdali added that, Our confidence in God is great, we have high confidence on our health support in hospitals and health facilities or in a various sectors that help in confronting the pandemic. Recommend : Four procedures must be followed for people entering from 6 countries (India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Egypt, Brazil and Vietnam)
- He stated that, The whole world is concerned in light of the continuation of the corona pandemic and the emergence of new mutations. Whoever appears to be in contact or a home or institutional quarantine, he must stick to the precautionary measures and health guidelines.
- "People who are in contact with infected person or those who are subject to quarantine and isolation have a national and moral duty, asking them to feel their responsibility". Those who are spreading misleading rumors, must stop harming others and members of the society.
- Today (On 1st December), The Ministry of Health recorded 34 new corona infections, 26 new recoveries and 1 death in the past 24 hours, bringing up the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 549,786 of which 538,939 recovered with 8,837 deaths. - Active corona cases in Saudi Arabia slightly raised to 2,010 of which 39 are critical and are in intensive cares. In the last 24 hours, Health Ministry performed 44,284 corona tests, so far 31,538,438 tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
- Saudi government has administered over 47.44 million (47,449,878) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, In which 358,393 are booster doses and the elderly people received 1,719,892 doses.
- The Ministry reveals more than 22.47 million (22,470,514) people received two doses of the vaccine against corona virus, while 24,620,971 people received only one dose of the corona vaccine. Saudi Expatriates Mobile App is now available on Play Store
