Saudi Public Prosecution reveals the Penalty for cheating in Cosmetic Products
The Public Prosecution in Saudi Arabia restated that cheating in cosmetic products is a crime and it carries penalties of up to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 5 million riyals.

What is Cosmetic Product?
According to the cosmetic products law, a cosmetic product is any product that contains one or more substances planned for use on the external parts of the human body, including skin, hair, nails and lips, or on the external parts of the genitals, teeth, or the membranes lining the oral cavity for cleaning, perfuming or protection purposes, to keep them in a good condition, to change and improve their appearance, or to change and improve body odor.
Trading of Cosmetic Product :
- It further stated that circulation of a cosmetic product goes through several stages until it reaches the consumer, including its import, export, manufacture, preparation, formulation, processing, packaging, storage, transportation, possession, marketing, distribution, offering for sale, and selling and distributing it free of charge. Fraudulent Cosmetic Product :
- While for the fraudulent product, it is the cosmetic product whose content, identity, or source has been deliberately changed, whether it contains the same ingredients, wrong ingredients, polluting materials, or without ingredients.
Marketing or Advertising :
