Saudi Arabia re-applies Mask and Social Distancing in all Open and Close places, including in Two Holy Mosques, after surge in Omicron cases
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced it is mandatory to wear a mask and apply social distancing measures in all places, whether closed or open, and in all activities and events as of 7 AM from Thursday (30th December, 2021). Like and Follow Saudi Expatriates on Facebook
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque stated that, it was decided to restore physical distancing procedures in the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, starting from Tomorrow 7 AM in the morning (30th December), Thursday, 26/05/1443.
- The physical distancing will be applied between worshipers, redistribution of chapels, and distribution of pilgrims on virtual circumambulation paths, in order to achieve the application of precautionary measures in order to preserve the health and safety of the pilgrims. - The Presidency highlighted the need for all visitors to the Two Holy Mosques and their workers to stick to the precautionary measures, to wear masks, follow to the entry dates according to the permits issued by the approved applications, maintain physical distance, and adhere to the instructions of the authorities operating in the Two Holy Mosques.
- The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, sent an important message to worshipers after the high curve of Corona injuries and the emergence of Omicron.
- Al-Sheikh through his Twitter account said, "Brothers, worshipers, the rising curve of Corona infections, in addition to the emergence of the mutant Omicron, requires us to cooperate more in implementing all precautionary measures. - The Minister of Islamic Affairs stressed that implementing the procedures is a legitimate duty and a national responsibility, calling on everyone to protect the homeland from the epidemic.
