Saudi Arabia reports 222 new corona cases in the last 24 hours and on 21st December
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced a decrease in the number of corona critical cases in hospitals to 28 cases from 31 cases Yesterday, with a decrease of 3 cases.

- The Ministry also said that, "With increasing age, the need for a booster dose increases to prevent possible symptoms and maintain immunity".
- Earlier this, The Ministry of Health stated that the Pfizer vaccine is currently used in the booster dose, regardless of the type of the first or second dose, for everyone who has been 6 months after receiving the second dose, and is 18 years of age and above.
- The Ministry of Health announced that the number of doses of Corona vaccines given in the Kingdom has so far reached to 48,503,750 doses, through more than 587 centers in all the regions and governorates.
- Saudi Arabia administered over 652,562 booster (third) doses and the elderly people received 1,730,111 doses. Of the total doses, 24,888,939 are first doses and the 22,962,249 are second doses. Similar : Vaccination with all doses, does not mean complacency in precautionary measures - MHRSD
- Today (On 21st December), Saudi Arabia registered 222 new corona infections, 106 new recoveries and 1 death in the past 24 hours, raising the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 551,210 of them 540,284 recovered with 8,865 deaths.
- Active corona infections in the Kingdom raised again above 2,000 and reached 2,061 of them 28 critical. Jeddah tops in active corona infections with 209, Riyadh with 195, Makkah with 146, while Madina has 98 active corona infections.
- In the past 24 hours, Ministry of Health has performed 57,354 corona tests, so far 32,471,081 covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Pinterest
