Saudization of 3 professions comes into effect from 30th December 2021
Saudi Arabia to implement the decision of Saudization for the professions of driving schools, technical engineering and custom clearance, starting from 30th December 2021.
This comes in line with the decision of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, where it announced the localization of 20 professions and activities related to several sectors, and this decision has created more than 378,000 jobs during the year 2021. - The Saudization of customs clearance professions aims to raise the percentage of localization to 100% in the targeted professions, with the aim of Saudization of 2,000 jobs including the following.
* Government Relations Officer
* General Manager
* Customs clearance clerk
* Translator
* Customs Categorizer
* Customs clearance broker
- As per the procedural manual for the Saudization of the driving schools professions, the monthly salary registered in the social insurance which is subject to subscription is required not to be less than the minimum salary of 5,000 riyals in order for the Saudi employee to be calculated within the imposed Saudization percentage. - The Saudi Human Resources and Development Fund (HADAF) has launched 'Training and Saudization Support in Driving Schools' program, which will train and qualify job seekers to practice the driving training profession and to fill 8,000 expected jobs in driving schools.
- Saudization of technical engineering professions includes all the professions classified as engineering technical professions as per the professional classification approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

- The Saudi technician who receives a salary of less than 5,000 riyals will not be calculated in the imposed localization percentage, which is one of its conditions, according to the report of Saudi Gazette.
