Ministry of Health specifies a simple procedure that reduces risk of Corona infection by 70%
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia highlighted the importance of wearing a face mask as part of measures to protect against respiratory infection.
The ministry said that, the commitment to wearing a mask continuously reduces the possibility of respiratory infection by 70%, and the ministry continued in an awareness message to every citizen, “Despite its simplicity, its results will impress you.”
- Saudi Arabia registered 65 new corona infections, 82 new recoveries and 1 death in the last 24 hours, raising up the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 550,369 of which 539,636 recovered with 8,856 deaths. Trending : Haramain Express increase train trips to 16 in a day
- Corona active cases in the Kingdom slightly falls to 1,877 of them 33 cases are critical. In the last 24 hours, The Ministry of Health has performed 50,068 corona tests, so far more than 32 million (32,066,964) covid-19 tests done by the Kingdom since the beginning of the pandemic.
- Jeddah tops in the list of active corona cases with 209, Madina with 95, Makkah with 93, Riyadh has 92 active corona cases, Ar Ar with 65, Yanbu with 64, Tabuk with 60 active corona cases and some other cities has below 50 infections.
- Saudi government has provided over 48.17 million (48,175,915) doses of Corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers, of them 520,230 are 3rd doses, while elderly people received 1,727,341 doses. - The Ministry of Health revealed more than 22.84 million (22,843,416) people received two doses of Corona vaccine, while 24.81 million (24,812,269) people received only one dose as of now.
- The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdalali earlier said that one dose is not enough, and adding another dose increases immunity, but the booster (3rd) dose is currently important to protect against complications and mutants of the Corona virus, and enhance the level of immunization that a person has reached.
