Three main things to protect against Corona variants - Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia said that there are 3 main things to protect against corona variants. First one is be quick to take the due dose of the corona vaccine, whether it is second dose or booster dose. While the second one is wearing a face mask in crowded closed and open spaces, it is necessary to protect against corona variants and the last one is maintain good ventilation in enclosed spaces.
- Today (On 18th December), Saudi Arabia registers 116 new corona infections, 96 recoveries and 1 deaths in the last 24 hours, the total corona infections in the Kingdom now reached to 550,738 of them 539,981 recovered with 8,861 deaths. - Active corona cases in the Kingdom slightly increased to 1,896, of them 34 are critical, increase of 3 critical cases since Yesterday. Jeddah tops in the list of active corona cases with 187, Riyadh with 134, Makkah with 107, while Madina has 95 active corona infections.
- In the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health has performed 52,239 corona tests, so far 32,302,267 covid-19 tests done by the Ministry since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
- Saudi government has given more than 48,318,159 corona doses until now since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom, of them 559,956 are booster doses, while the elderly people received 1,728,702 doses. - The Ministry's data also state over 22,906,028 people received two doses of the corona vaccine, while 24,852,175 people received only one dose of the vaccine against corona virus.
