Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced Automatic Sick Leave is only for employees with full Immunization
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced that sick leave will be issued automatically for few categories of people only through the Sehhaty application. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Twitter
The Ministry said these categories include those who have completed immunization against covid-19, children under 12 years of age and to the groups who are exempted from receiving corona vaccine as per their status. See Also : 8 points of Employment contract in Saudi Arabia
- The sick leave will be issued automatically through Sehhaty application, as per the period of recovery considering the patient's health condition, as per the report of Saudi Gazette.
- The ministry of health further explained that those who did not received complete vaccination would not be covered for the issuance of automatic sick leaves.
- The health ministry added that, full immunization of an individual is considered on the basis of the immune status on his Tawakkalna account. Read : Vacation and leave policy as per Saudi Labor Law
- The Ministry of Health said “Sick leave will be issued to the people infected with the Coronavirus within a maximum period of 24 hours, and you will be notified of it via a text message, and it will also appear to you in the Sehhaty application.”
- This came in response during the Ministry’s review, through the Health 937 twitter account to the most common question, which is, “I have been confirmed to be infected with the Corona virus (Covid-19), when will the sick leave be issued?”
