Extension of Iqamas, Exit Re-Entry and Visit visas until 31st March 2022 for Expats in suspended countries
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia has started extending the validity of iqamas and exit re-entry visas without fees until 31st March 2022 (28/8/1443), in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This extension was issued by the Minister of Finance, which comes inline within the framework of the continuous efforts taken by the Kingdom's government to deal with the effects and consequences of the global pandemic (Covid-19), and within the precautionary and preventive measures that guarantee the safety of citizens and residents and to contribute in reducing the economic and financial effects. - The extension will also be done automatically in cooperation with the National Information Center (NIC) without the need to review the headquarters of the Jawazat Departments or the Kingdom’s missions abroad, as follows:
1. Extending the validity of iqama and exit re-entry visas for residents who are outside the Kingdom in the countries from which entry is suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus in them, until 31st March 2022 (28/08/1443), except for those who completed receiving at least one dose of the Corona vaccine inside the kingdom before they leave it. 2. Extension of the validity of visit visas by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) for visitors who are outside the Kingdom, from countries from which entry has been suspended as a result of the outbreak of the Corona virus, until 31st March 2022 (28/08/1443).
