Foundation Day holiday includes workers in Public and Private sectors - Minister of Human Resources
The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia, Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, valued the recent honorable royal order from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as Foundation day on 22nd February to be an official holiday.
Al-Rajhi through his Twitter said that the honorable order stated official holiday for both public and private sector employees, it reflects our wise leadership keenness to sense the depth of country's history and to maintain the glorious memory of Saudi society. - This clarification comes from the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in order to resolve the matter after the controversy that spread among private sector workers on various social media platforms, especially since the minister has not resolved the matter.
- Meanwhile, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development responded about the entitlement of a private sector employee to take the "Foundation Day" leave, stating that, if a decision is issued regarding a private sector employee taking leave on that day, it will be announced immediately.
