Saudi Arabia to extend Iqamas, Exit Re-Entry and Visit visas for 10 days after 31st January for Expats in suspended countries
Saudi Arabia to extend the validity of Iqamas (resident permits), exit re-entry visas and visit visas for expatriates in suspended countries to 10 days after the deadline of 31st January 2022, based on the order and instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The extension is free and automatic and this benefit will be applicable to those expats and visitors who are in suspended countries and facing travel suspension after the outbreak of corona pandemic.
- However, Jawazat clarified that those who received 2 doses of corona vaccine in Saudi Arabia before their departure outside the Kingdom are exempted from this extension. Trending : Check Saudi iqama validity using Ministry of Labor website
- The General Directorate of Passports highlighted that work on the extension of the validity of iqama, exit re-entry is being done automatically in cooperation with National Information Center (NIC) and there is no need to contact Jawazat departments for this extension.
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be responsible to extend the validity of visit visas automatically, for those visitors who are in suspended countries and facing travel ban and they are outside the Kingdom to 10 days after 31st January 2022. - It is important to note that, the duration of exit re-entry visa is valid for 3 months for travel from the date of issuance, it it is specified in months like 60 days, 90 days and 120 days and the duration of the visa is calculated from the date of travel, however if the duration is specified in days or return before, the calculation is from the date of issuance of the visa.
