Ministry of Interior warns against violating Quarantine instructions and revealed its Penalties
The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia has clarified the penalty for violating the instructions of isolation or institutional quarantine in the Kingdom. Follow Saudi Expatriates on Linkedin
The Ministry of Interior said that anyone who violates the instructions of isolation or institutional quarantine shall be penalized with a fine of up to 200,000 Saudi Riyals or imprisonment for a period not more than 2 years, or both.
- The Ministry explained that in case of violation is repeated, the penalty imposed on the previous time will be doubled. Trending : Saudi Arabia announces extension of Iqma, exit re-entry and visit visa until 31st March
- The Ministry of Interior also clarified that, if the above mentioned violation was issued to an expat, he or she will be punished with deportation from the Kingdom, and a permanent entry ban after implementing the penalty imposed against him or her.
- Earlier this, the interior ministry announced that within a week (13/6/1443 to 19/6/1443), 28,567 violations of the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the concerned authorities were seized in order to confront corona pandemic.
- The Ministry through its infographic said that Riyadh tops in the list for violating of precautionary and preventive measures with 7,979 violations, Madina with 4,443, Eastern region with 3,582 violations, Makkah region with 2,788 violations. - Al-Qassim with 2,037 violations, Hail with 1,496 violations, Jazan with 1,306 violations, Al-Jouf with 1,205 violations, Tabuk with 996, Al Baha with 813, Asir region with 738 violations, Northern Borders with 737 violations and Najran with 537 violations.
