Starting from 23rd January, Saudi Arabia allows return of In-Person Schooling for Primary and Kindergarten students
As a result of the efforts and integration of the Ministries of Health and Education, and the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), and a declaration of the successful implementation of all health precautions and measures that contributed to the return of the study in presence for kindergarten and primary students, and as a result of the efforts that lead up to in achieving a high rate of societal immunity.
It is announced the resumption of in-person schooling for male and female students of the primary and kindergartens who are less than 12 years old, starting from 23rd January 23, except for those who could not attend for health reasons, while they continued to receive education through various online platforms.
- The Ministry of Education also announced that it will follow up and inspect this return of students below 12 years of age, by applying all health protocols approved and stated by the Public Health Authority (Weqaya), while confirming the readiness of all schools to receive male and female students, starting from January 23, and that they have fulfilled all precautionary and health measures. - The procedures and rules for returning primary and kindergarten students in-person at schools, explaining that the return procedures will be similar to those currently applied in the intermediate and secondary stages.
- The plan for the return of primary and kindergarten students in-person divided students or schools into 3 categories (High, Medium and Low), based on the number of students, stating that, if the number of students is less than 15 students, all students will attend, and if 15-30 students are divided into 2 groups, and more than 31 students are divided into 3 groups.

- During the press conference, A public Education spokeswoman said, it is not possible to continue distance education only in light of the continuation of the pandemic, especially after the increase in societal immunity, she explained that the return of the study in presence for primary and kindergarten students is a family and educational requirement.
