Riyadh, Jeddah and Makkah each has over 1,000 Corona active cases, Total 6,089 active cases
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced that with the beginning of the new year, the daily statement of corona infections will be announced at 12 noon, calling everyone to stick to the precautionary measures and to speed up in receiving the vaccinations against corona virus. Today (On 1st January), Saudi Arabia reported 846 new corona infections, 262 recoveries and 1 death, raising the total corona cases in the Kingdom to 557,082 of them 542,115 recovered with 8,878 deaths due to the complications with covid-19.
- Corona active cases in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia further jumps to 6,089 of them 61 cases are critical, shifting 7 cases to critical care in the last 24 hours. Riyadh tops in the list of active corona infections with 1,296, Jeddah with 1,085, Makkah with 1,049, Madina with 246, Hofouf with 182, while Dammam has 143 active corona cases. - In the last 24 hours, Saudi Arabia has performed 80,675 covid-19 tests, so far the Ministry of Health has conducted 33,310,519 corona tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.
- As of now, Saudi Arabia has given over 50.9 million (50,989,443) doses of Corona vaccine, In which 2,781,203 are booster doses and the elderly people received about 1,918,379 doses.
- The Ministry of Health also announced that over 23.1 million (23,187,290) doses are the second doses, while more than 25 million (25,020,950) people received only one dose of the vaccine against corona virus.
