Corona vaccines are now available for Children of Age group 5 to 11 years in Saudi Arabia
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia announced that, Corona vaccine is now available for children of age group 5 to 11 years. Booking appointments are now available through Sehhaty and Tawakkalna applications.
The Health Ministry's announcement aims to protect children and raise their immunity against covid-19 and this comes in line with the Ministry of Education's decision to resume the in-person schooling for students in the primary and kindergarten classes. - Today (On 17th January), Saudi Arabia reported 5,505 new corona infections, 4,349 recoveries and 2 deaths in the past 24 hours. After which total corona cases in the Kingdom jumps to 620,935 of them 569,296 recovered with 8,908 deaths.
- Active corona cases in the Kingdom increases to 42,731 of them 388 are critical and are receiving treatment in intensive cares of the hospitals and medical facilities.
- Saudi Arabia has administered over 54 million (54,047,871) doses of corona vaccine to Saudi nationals, resident expats and visitors all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers. Recommend : 11 categorized students are exempted from attending in-person schooling
- The Ministry also reports more than 5.3 million (5,361,094) people received booster dose of the corona vaccine and so far 1,927,768 doses were received by the elderly people.
- The health ministry's official statistics shows, more than 25.21 million (25,211,260) people received only one dose of the corona vaccine, while 23.47 million (23,475,527) doses were the second doses for the people in the Kingdom. Join Saudi Expatriates Telegram group
