Saudi Arabia's active Corona cases reached to 41,577 of them 336 are Critical as of 16th January
Saudi Arabia reports 5,477 new corona cases, 3,405 recoveries and 1 death, after performing 155,427 corona tests in the last 24 hours and on Sunday, 16th January, 2022.
The total number of corona infections in the Kingdom is increased to 615,430 of them 564,947 recovered with 8,906 deaths. The Ministry of Health has so far performed 35,353,849 covid-19 tests, since the beginning of the pandemic.

- The Kingdom government has provided over 53.86 million (53,868,187) doses of corona vaccine all over the Kingdom through its 587 vaccination centers.
- The Ministry of Health announced, of the total doses, more than 5.2 million (5,213,473) doses are the booster doses and the elderly people received 1,927,130 doses.
- The Ministry's statistics show over 23.45 million (23,457,680) doses are the second doses, while more than 25.19 million (25,197,034) people received only one dose of the vaccine against corona virus. Recommend : New violations fines list of municipal sanctions
- The Ministry of Health announced that the Corona vaccine is now available for children of age group 5 to 11 years.
- A consultant at preventive medicine and public health, Dr. Abdel Hamid Al-Subhi revealed that, so far Pfizer is the approved vaccine for children of age group 5 years and above.
- He added that, "Scientific trials have proven the feasibility and safety of this vaccination for this age group, explaining that in the coming period other types of vaccine may be approved for this category." Follow Saudi Expatriates on Pinterest
- He continued stating, the importance of giving the vaccination to children, because with the beginning of the school return, they need to be immunized, as they are not aware of the precautionary measures like adults.
