Corona Active cases in Saudi Arabia drops to 31,842 with 1,054 Critical
The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia registered 3,162 new corona infections, 4,088 recoveries and 3 deaths after performing 127,892 corona tests in the last 24 hours and on 9th February 2022.
After which the total corona cases in Saudi Arabia increased to 719,136 of them 678,332 recovered with 8,962 deaths. So far the health ministry has conducted over 39 million (39,073,688) covid-19 tests since the beginning of the pandemic in the Kingdom.

- Riyadh tops in the list of active corona cases with 10,050, Jeddah with 3,283, Makkah with 1,700, Dammam with 1,496, Hofouf with 1,173 and Madina with 1,050 covid-19 infections.
- The Ministry of Health in the Kingdom has administered over 58.91 million (58,910,941) doses of corona vaccine all over the Kingdom, of them 9,348,168 are booster doses and the elderly people received 1,938,621 doses.
- The health ministry also reported that over 23.85 million (23,857,045) second doses administered and more than 25.70 million (25,705,728) people received only one dose of the vaccine against corona virus. Read : Procedure to extend visit visa of wife through Absher
- Earlier this, the Ministry of Health clarified that the Omicron mutant is considered to spread faster than the original virus, and the infection can infect the vaccinated person.
- The Ministry added that vaccines protect against complications of Omicron leading to severe illness, hospitalization and death, and that infection can be avoided by following steps like safe distance, good ventilation, completing immunization, wearing a mask.
